Baby owl
After my coworker had her baby girl, I asked her what she wanted for the baby room. She sent me a photo of a baby blanket she had and I created this wall decal! So cute and I just love the colors. My first ever multilayer decal. I will have to say, I LOVE transfer paper after this one!

Girafee Card

So to make a long story short... My mother-in-law and I have purchased a stuffed, 5 foot tall, giraffe (Giraffee) for my sisters baby nursery. However, the giraffe will be remaining at my house until the baby shower in May. I have been taking daily photos and made this fun Birthday card for my mother-in-laws Birthday. Lol glad to say she liked it!

My Sister's Baby Shower Invitations!

Had a blast making these book sign-out invitations. I was able to use my new heat gun for embossing the little buggy. Just love it! I made the card in Photoshop using a template and the envelope was made with my Silhouette cameo from a party pack. I love love love how it turned out!

My tip for emobssing- Purcahase an antistatic rag ( I dont have one)
or use a paint brush. Otherwise some of the left over dust not on the stamp will melt too, it adds for a vintage look but I am not a fan.
Paranoia, I black out all the good stuff.

Made the envelopes in different colors to use up some paper. Buggies are all the same color tho.
Hehe, I just love this!

Scrappaganza 2!

Hurray! Its that time again, except this time I got to make 17 total sets for a scrap day with the ladies. Had an idea, then I changed it when I Found this awesome paper on sale at Michaels. Who can pass up sparkly butterflies for only 14 cents a page! Not me! I used the recent photo shoot of niece Jaida for the idea of Fly.
Some page tips:
1. I used a roller on the white page- Roll a foam roller over the ink pad and roll onto the white, gives it a washed look. I did it light, but really dark would give a contrast too!
2. cut the rest on my machine! I love my silhouette 17 times over. :)
3. added rhinestones to add another depth layer
4. embossed clouds and sanded the tops to make them pop.

I will show the first page I made (before I found the cool butterfly paper!) in a week or so.

Tutu TIme again!

Spring and Summer is just around the corner!
When I was at the fabric store I saw these colors (what! Glitter and shimmer net!?! where have I been) and just knew that my friend Candace's little 6month old, Harper, needed a new tutu!
I made it the same way as the Halloween Tutu- refer to that post for instructions. Very simple!
Only difference this time, I added a faux stem flower and removed the middle. I replaced the middle with a fun colored brad that also went thru the elastic band.

Princess Perfect!

Army MEn!

Made a fun card for my co-workers birthday. Enjoyed doing a military themed card. Inside, it said: Notice to Party!

How?:
I embossed some sticky back metal thru my Texture boutique for the bottom and used a sponge dauber on the metal with brown ink. Also inked the edges of the card. Cut the men out from silhouette cameo using army men download and raised them with bump-its (stamping-up). Printed the words on the yellow card-stock after I created them in Photoshop Elements. Hand wrote the name, although not perfect like printing, I like to add some human aspects :)

Happy Birthday Lily!

Tomarrow our niece turns 10! The big double digit ten! She is such a fun, outgoing little girl and my crafting compadrea in crime. So much energy this little cowgirl. I had to make her something cute just like her. So we picked out some horse fabric and I sewed away the day (ok so only like 2 hours probably faster if you know how to sew ;)

Check out this blog nancysnotions.com for a pdf. I used to make the dress. I altered the width-however, so that it was slimmer to her body type. Sew simple!
We had fun playing today since I work on her real Birthday. Happy Birthday Lily!

My husbands birthday.

I had a lot of fun searching for ideas for the "perfect" cake for my husbands birthday. I found this great idea of adding Oreo to the funfettie cake! It was soooo yummy! I made the banner by cutting out triangles on the Silhouette and stringing them with needle and thread. Then I just tied them to two pieces of wood. Easy, simple, so Birthday!
